The New Zealand Orchid Society (NZOS) meets at the Mt Albert War Memorial Hall, New North Road, Mt Albert on the third Wednesday of each month from March to December, commencing at 7.30 pm. See the Directions map to locate us. A February social and BBQ is held at a member’s home. There is no January meeting.

Each meeting has a specific programme which is advertised in the previous month’s newsletter and may take a variety of forms as a talk or audio-visual presentation. Members are encouraged to bring plants from their private collections for viewing and discussion. Points are allocated to each plant displayed and annual prizes for the most points are awarded in two categories, novice and open.

Regular features each month include a well managed up-to-date library, a plant commentary from our orchid judges, a trading table, orchid plant raffles, and a shared supper.

The membership subscription of $32 is reduced to $27 if paid prior to April 30. The monthly newsletter is distributed by direct mail or email. For more detailed information about the monthly meetings or membership of the NZOS, contact:
